About Me
Samir's Background
Samir Jha is a full stack software developer fueled by passion and curiosity. He started his career in the digital world as a student at National Institute of Engineering, India in the small, beautiful, royal city of Mysore where he was accepted into the undergraduate program, an intensive 4-year bachelor program in the field of Computer Science.
He completed his stint at the university and ultimately landed at Akamai, where he helped launch several cloud enterprise projects including Financial Force and RemedyForce ticketing solution. He worked on the long term Akamai vision of moving on-premise data/applications to the cloud. Samir Jha was awarded the "Most Valuable Player" for his contributions to Akamai's technical roadmap.
In the fall of 2016, he was accepted as a graduate student at North Carolina State University. He enrolled in the Masters program in Computer Science. In the summer of 2017, he was accepted into the intern program at Redhat where he joined the Satellite team to develop and contribute to the foreman/katello community.
He graduated from NCSU in December of 2017 with a GPA of 4. Upon graduation, he was offered the opportunity to join the Redhat Satellite team as a fulltime contributor which he readily accepted. He currently works with the team to develop new features and support lifecycle of the Redhat Satellite product.
My Hobbies
When I'm not at work, I really love to watch soccer and football games. When the weather is nice, I take my dogs for hikes.
My goal!
I would love to run a shelter for hundreds of dogs one day!
